"When I heard A Love Supreme, from that point on...that’s all I wanted to do was be a jazz musician."

- Jamey Haddad

Jamey Haddad has dedicated himself to mastering percussion. His first music instructor recognized his commitment and regularly gave Haddad five lessons for the price of one. It was an investment that paid dividends for music, as Haddad has earned grants from the National Endowment of the Arts, a Fulbright Fellowship and the Cleveland Arts Prize. Haddad discovered his natural affinity for world music and broadened his range of genres while studying at Berklee College of Music. Haddad has toured and recorded with Paul Simon and regularly collaborated with Paul Winter, Joe Lovano and Laszlo Gardony. He has appeared on more than 150 recordings. Haddad teaches at Oberlin and the Cleveland Institute of Music.
